Got my first new camera in five years in the mail last week. It’s the very compact, yet very capable, Fujifilm XF10. Somehow they managed to pack a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor into this tiny camera. And it has a fixed 28mm (35mm equiv.) f/2.8 lens.
Here are some of my first night shots I took this evening. I did bring a tiny tripod with me to take some long exposures. It was raining and I had to clean the lens a few times. It isn’t weather sealed, but I guess it can take a few drops.
f/4.0 - 1/9s (handheld… how did I do that?) - ISO 3200
f/3.2 - 1/80s - ISO 6400
f/3.2 - 1/80s - ISO 6400 — Cropped
f/10 - 30s - ISO 200
The flexible legs of the tripod weren’t flexible enough to get the top of the building in the shot. It did a great job at holding the camera steady for 30 seconds, though.
f/10 - 30s - ISO 200
f/8 - 10s - ISO 200
f/8 - 10s - ISO 200
f/2.8 - 1/40s - ISO 6400
f/8 - 10s - ISO 200
f/2.8 - 1/40 - ISO 4000
f/2.8 - 1/40 - ISO 5000 — Water drops on the lens
I’ve only used the camera for a few days now, but I can say that the image quality is amazing! Handling, ergonomics and speed…. I’ll get back on that after I’ve used it a bit longer.
Thanks for reading!
